I hope you all have had a great Monday and just wanted to get our thoughts on Sunday Nights Message.
For those of you who weren't there, we talked about what God has created us to be when it comes to Authority and Parents. I know that it doesn't sound too fun, but when we know what God intends for us it all begins to make more sense. For example, I took some time and looked over some of your Facebook Statuses after President Obama was elected. I think that you were shocked to hear what some of your peers or maybe you had to say. As we looked through Romans 13:1-7 we began to see what God's plan was for us when it came to submitting to the Authority God has put into place.
As we continued we looked at Ephesians 6 and Colossians 3 to see how God has created us to interact with our parents. After a little digging we found that God desires us to respect, obey, and honor our parents. We ended the night by writing our parents a note expressing our thanks and gratitude toward them.

I thought it was really good to write that note to my parents. Sometimes I don't say the stuff I want to because it can be hard or whatever and writing it down was good because I could just really say how much I appreciated them. They liked it a lot too. The message was really good and thought-provoking, I've been going over it all week since and even though I don't exactly agree with Obama I think you were right on about what you said about him, thank you.
